Elvis Santana
Community Team — New York
Elvis is an engagement professional with deep experience in education policy and project management.
Background
Based in the New York Office, Elvis is responsible for partnership expansion, community development, and bridging resources for our telecommunications practice.
Prior to joining Ichor, Elvis previously served as the Outreach Director at Educators for Excellence, where he oversaw New York City education policies, and bridged the nation's largest local teacher union, the United Federation of Teachers (UFT), to stakeholders, and elevated the teaching profession through national campaigns. Prior to that, Elvis served as the Regional Director at Full Contact Communication in New York City, where he led the country's first dozen COVID-19 testing sites by building an infrastructure to educate the public on testing safety and, eventually, vaccination. Through nonprofits, elected officials, faith-based leaders, and community stakeholders, they reached 350,000+ residents to reduce the infection rate across low-income areas.
Outside of Work
Elvis was the recipient of the White House Reach Higher Initiative during the Obama administration (2016), and also received a New York State Proclamation from Assemblymember Chantel Jackson for civic duty, community activism, and more.
