Community Engagement — Washington, D.C.
During her 25-year career as a community advocate and attorney Elba has had proven success in orchestrating contract agreements, managing multi-billion-dollar budgets and assets, strategic planning, policy administration, and risk assessment.
As a Legal Counsel in the U.S. House of Representatives, she served as an attorney on compliance, policy, and contractual matters. Previously, she was Director of Operations at AARP Multicultural Markets and Engagement, Deputy Chief Clerk of the NYS Appellate Division (1st Dept.), and Assistant Director for Capital Planning in the NYS Office of Court Administration. She has worked for both New York City and New York State Comptrollers.
Elba enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, reading novels, and volunteering pro bono legal services for under-represented people, especially children and seniors. She is fluent in Spanish.
Outside of work
Elba serves as a Senior Advisor to Ichor with a particular focus on community engagement.
